San Diego Golf FAQ
What are the best golf courses in San Diego?
GTHS San Diego packages feature Torrey Pines North Course, Torrey Pines South Course (US Open host), The Club at La Costa North Course, and Steele Canyon Golf Club. Our documented San Diego trip covered all 4 courses in 5 nights for a group of 20, staying at The Lodge at Torrey Pines.
How much do San Diego golf packages cost?
San Diego golf packages start from $2,950 per golfer based on a real trip we have planned — 5 nights, 4 rounds, group of 20 at The Lodge at Torrey Pines. San Diego is a premium destination; Torrey Pines South is a US Open venue and priced accordingly. We can build packages at different price points depending on lodging and course selection.
Can GTHS book Torrey Pines for groups?
Yes. Torrey Pines is a public course owned by the City of San Diego. Group tee times are bookable but require advance planning — peak season weekend tee times go 60–90 days out. GTHS secures group blocks at both the North and South courses. The South Course is the US Open layout (2008, 2021) and the benchmark round of the trip.
Where do groups stay for San Diego golf?
The Lodge at Torrey Pines is the definitive San Diego golf lodging — steps from the first tee of both courses, AAA Five Diamond resort, unobstructed Pacific Ocean views. It is featured on our only documented San Diego trip. Other options include La Jolla resort properties and downtown San Diego hotels for groups prioritising value.
How far is San Diego from Reno?
San Diego is approximately 550 miles south of Reno — about 8 hours by car or 1.5 hours by direct flight. Most groups fly into San Diego International Airport (SAN). GTHS can arrange group transportation from the airport as part of the package contract.
