Golf at America's Most Scenic Lake
Lake Tahoe golf is bucket-list golf. Edgewood Tahoe's closing holes run directly along the shore of North America's largest alpine lake — the most photographed finishing stretch in American golf outside Augusta. Old Greenwood, a Jack Nicklaus design through old-growth Sierra pines, hosts the PGA TOUR Barracuda Championship and ranks in America's Top 100 Public Courses. Coyote Moon winds through granite boulders that have been there since the last ice age.
The tradeoff versus Reno is seasonality — most Tahoe courses run May through October. But within that window, the conditions are exceptional and the scenery is unmatched anywhere in the western United States. A group that plays Edgewood, Old Greenwood, and Coyote Moon in three days has experienced three genuinely different courses that no one in the group will ever forget.
Golf the High Sierra handles the logistics that make Tahoe trips complicated — booking Edgewood far enough in advance, coordinating the 45-minute drive between South Shore hotels and Truckee courses, matching lodging on the right shore for your group's itinerary. One call, one contract.

Lake Tahoe Golf Package FAQ
The best packages combine Edgewood Tahoe — finishing holes directly on the lake — with Old Greenwood or Coyote Moon in Truckee, plus resort lodging at Harrah's or the Hyatt Regency. GTHS builds custom packages from $465/golfer with one contract covering tee times, lodging, and transportation. Tell us your dates and budget and we'll build the right combination.
Packages start from $465 per golfer for a 2-night, 2-round stay-and-play. Premium packages featuring Edgewood Tahoe and lakefront resort lodging run $379–$699 per golfer. Pricing depends on course selection, hotel tier, group size, and dates. Larger groups almost always qualify for volume rates — a 20-person group routinely saves $60–$100 per person versus self-booking.
We partner with Edgewood Tahoe, Old Greenwood, Coyote Moon, Incline Village Championship and Mountain, Gray's Crossing, Northstar, Lake Tahoe Golf Course, and Tahoe Donner. Mix and match based on your group's handicap range and budget. We'll match courses to your group rather than the other way around.
Yes — and you should book as early as possible. Edgewood is the most in-demand course in the region and fills months ahead for July and August. We recommend requesting it 3–4 months out for peak summer dates. We have a direct booking relationship with the course that gives us access when public tee times show nothing available.
June through October. Late June and September are the sweet spots — excellent conditions, shoulder-season pricing, and fewer crowds than July–August peak. Most courses open in May and close in October or November. Unlike Reno, Lake Tahoe courses are seasonal — check course availability before planning winter or early spring trips.
Absolutely. South Shore casino resorts have spas, lake activities, dining, and entertainment. The Hyatt Regency has direct beach access. We can arrange lake cruises, spa packages, and hiking for non-golfers through the same registration portal your group uses — everyone books once, pays their share, done.
