What a Group Golf Trip With GTHS Actually Looks Like
Group golf trips fail when the coordinator is stuck making phone calls. You call the course, the course quotes you a tee time that doesn't match your hotel check-in, you call the hotel, the hotel doesn't have a room block, you call back the course — and suddenly planning a golf trip becomes a second job. Golf the High Sierra exists to eliminate that entirely.
Here is what we actually do: one call to GTHS, and we lock in tee times at your preferred courses, negotiate a room block at the right hotel for your group's size and budget, arrange airport shuttles if needed, book your post-round dining reservation, and send every member of your group a personal registration link so they can confirm their spot and pay their share directly. You do not coordinate anything. You just receive confirmation that it's done.
We have been doing this since 2004 across Reno, Lake Tahoe, Truckee, Graeagle, and Carson Valley. Every course in the region knows us by name. That means we get tee times that aren't publicly available, room block rates you cannot book online, and the kind of service from hotel and course staff that only comes from a 20-year relationship. One group coordinator with 10 or more rooms in the block gets their stay-and-play package free.

How do I plan a group golf trip to Reno or Lake Tahoe?

What is the minimum group size?
We work with groups as small as 4 players. Best group rates apply at 9+ players. Groups of 20+ qualify for shotgun starts at most partner courses.
How far in advance should I book?
For peak season (June–September), book 3–4 months ahead — especially for Edgewood Tahoe, ArrowCreek, or Old Greenwood, which fill fast. Spring and fall events can often be arranged 4–6 weeks out.
What does it cost?
Packages start around $299 per golfer and vary by course selection, hotel tier, group size, and season. We work within almost any budget and will tell you exactly what is achievable at each price point before you commit to anything.
